Logistics & Planning Info

Once you are enrolled in the retreat, we will send out detailed information ellaborating on all of the following and more. And of course we are always available for any questions or concerns.

Mastatal is 2.5 hours from Costa Rica's main international airport, SJO. Private transportation from the airport to Mastatal is typically $150 each way but we are offering $50 each way for retreat guests. There will be two pick up times at the airport on July 28th and two drop off times on August 4th. We will decide the times once we have flight information from everyone to make the shortest waiting time possible. Depending on request, there will also be one drop off time on August 5th, time TBD. We may also add a pick up location in San Jose for those who might come the evening before and stay in town. We will have more details once everyone's flights are confirmed and we will get you all to the farm!

Mastatal is also accessible via Costa Rica's public bus system from San Jose, Quepos, Puriscal, and more. You can find more info on how to get to the farm on the bus here. Taking the bus from San Jose to the farm requires 2 buses, the first is a little more than $1USD and the second $2USD.

Visas & Vaccinations

Many nationalities can enter Costa Rica without a visa for up to 90 days. Those countries include the U.S., Canada, the U.K. Germany, Australia, and many more. You can check your country's visa requirements here

It is not required that you have any vaccinations to enter Costa Rica. Besides routine vaccinations, many travelers will get Hepatitis A and Typhoid vaccines. Please consult your healthcare provider to see what they recommend for you.
